The first genealogy was assembled from the Tinkling Spring, Mossy Creek and Augusta Stone congregations, Augusta County, Virginia. The Bible was offered by Miss Nannie McCue and from Augusta Stone Congregation. The second genealogy was offered by H.M. Wilson and from the Tinkling Spring Congregation.
In the first genealogy John McCue, born ca. 1715 in Ireland, emigrated to America in 1731 where he married ca. 1750 Eleanor Mathews. He settled first in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania but moved in 1739 to Nelson County, Virginia. This record lists his descendants ca. 1753-1911 who lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and Missouri. It also has information on the allied family of James Allen and his wife Margaret (Anderson), ca. 1740-1788. Other allied families are Barry, McDowell and Miller.
