Aaron Crisler, Sr., (1775-1852) was the son of Adam Crisler and Elizabeth Crigler of Culpepper County, VA. Elizabeth Crigler (d. 1847) was the daughter of Nicholas and Margaret (Kaifer) Crigler. Nicholas was the son of Jacob Crigler who emigrated in 1717 from Germany to America and was a member of the 1717 Germanna Colony in Virginia. Margaret Kaifer was the daughter of Michael Kaifer who also was a member of the 1717 Germanna Colony. Aaron, Sr. married Susannah (Susan) Baker (1780-1863) in 1799, Madison County, VA. The family later migrated to Indiana and Preble County, OH. Descendants are located in Kansas, Indiana, Washington and various other states.
