St. Luke's Reformed Church was organized in 1907. In 1916 a church was built on corner of Pulaski and Baltimore Streets. In 1926-1929 a merger occurred between St. Luke's Reformed Church and St. John's Reformed Church (also known as 4th German Reformed Church) on Calvert Street. The combined congregations were called the United Reformed Church of St. Luke and St. John of Baltimore. In 1955 St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (on Catherine and Lombard Streets in Catonsville, part of Baltimore) merged with St. Luke's. The name was apparently not changed and efforts were made to sell all properties in favor of purchasing other property on corner of Beechfield Ave. and Yale Ave. (accomplished in 1957). A church was built in 1959.
