"The original Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church was located about two miles north of the current church. The congregation was begun in 1741 and officially organized in 1746. Ten years later, in 1756, part of the present stone building was constructed. Near the former church site is the "Muse Cemetery" (named after the family owning the land since 1882). For many years, burials were conducted at both locations, though the last burial at the Muse Cemetery was probably around 1930." -- P. 2.
