Due to the passing of President Jeffrey R. Holland and the desire for many of our staff to attend the funeral services, the FamilySearch Library will have reduced operational hours on December 31, 2025. The Library will be open from 1pm to 5pm. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to resuming our full hours and services on Friday, January 2nd at 9am.
There are two ways to access CDs at the FamilySearch Library.
FamilySearch Desktop
In the library you have access to many CDs. Click the Start menu to access our CD databases when visiting the Library.
Retrieving the CD and an External Reader
If a CD is not digitally available on the FamilySearch desktop, ask at the 2nd floor reference desk for the physical CD to be retrieved from the Special Collections room and (as we no longer have CD computers at the Library) check out an external DVD/CD reader. External readers can be checked out from the 2nd floor reference desk or Guest Services.
