Adam Cunningham was born in about 1713 in Ireland. He emigrated in about 1740 and settled in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. He married Catherine. They had five known sons. There may have been three more sons and some daughters. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia and West Virginia. Includes some Virginia Cunningham families who may or may not be related to Adam's family.

Includes Bell, Henkle and related families.
