Johan Wilhelm Andreas Zumwald (Andrew Zumwalt), son of Johann Philipp ZumWald and Susanna Feller, was born about 1698 in Switzerland. He married Anna Catharina Margretha Jacobs or Jacobin, daughter of Hans Wolfgang Jacobs and Catherina Lisabetha (surname not listed), on 2 Nov 1728. Anna was born 14 Nov 1703 in Bavaria. They immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Sep 1737, settling in York County. They had 5 children. Anna died about 1741-42 in York County, Pennsylvania. Andrew married Anna Regina, surname not listed, about 1743-44 in York County. They had 6 children. Andrew died after 20 Oct 1764 in Frederick County, Virginia. No death date is listed for Anna Regina, however she died after Andrew. His descendants have lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Texas, Wisconsin, and other areas in the United States.
