John Sladden came to New Kent County, Virginia, in 1711. He had at least three sons: William, Arthur, and Abraham. John died in 1720 in Hanover, Virginia. William Sladden was born in 1701 in Virginia. He married Mary Rodes and they had 11 children. He died in 1788 while Mary died in 1765. Abraham Sladden was born in 1709 in Virginia. He had 7 children. He died in 1763. Descendants lived in Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Georgia, Missouri and elsewhere.
Includes allied families of Greene, Johns, Powell, Smith, Stoner, Wilson, Thompson, Corfitzson, Farr, Barker, Baity, Brown, Landrum, Moody, Moore, Sutfin, and others.
