Walter Eden was born in Sullivan, Ill. on July 14, 1862. In 1886 he served as mayor of Sullivan, Ill. While mayor he studied for the bar & was admitted in 1889. Walter also worked in the title business. He married May Mulvey, from Cincinnati, in 1884. By 1891 ,Walter and his wife had three children: Martha, John Rice II and Walter. He worked in such places as Springfield, Ill.; Billings, Montana; Tacoma & Vancouver, Washington; Fresno, Santa Ana & Los Angles, Calif. Walter married Margaret Fitzgerald of San Diego sometime between March 1909 & 1912 & lived with her in 1912 in Santa Ana, Calif. Walter served in the California General Assembly from Jan. 1919 to 1921. He also served one term in the California Senate from 1921-1925. On Nov. 5, 1932 Walter Eden died at his home in Los Angeles.
