The registers contain information on the soldier's military history (time and place of each enlistment, company and regiment, time and place of discharge, cause of discharge, kind and degree of disability), domestic history (where born, age, residence subsequent to discharge, occupation, social condition [widowed, etc.], addresses of nearest relative), soldiers' home history (rate of pension, date of admission, condition of readmission, date and cause of discharge or death).
