James Pickens Young (b.1815) was born in North Carolina and married Nancy Brown (b.1823). They moved from North Carolina to Tennessee. They were the parents of nine children, all of whom were born in Tennessee. Their numerous descendants live in Tennessee, Virginia, Ohio and other parts of the United States.
