Funeral records, 1933-1942

Manuscript/Manuscript on Film
English
Salt Lake City, Utah : Filmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah, 1996
9 microfilm reels ; 35 mm.

Notes

Microfilm of records located at Pierce Brothers Cunnigham & O'Connor Mortuary, Hollywood, California.

Contains records of funeral arrangements, giving name of the deceased as well as parents, spouses and children or next-of-kin, age, birth date and place, death date, location of funeral, place of burial. Records are arranged mostly in alphabetical order.

There appear to be two types of funeral records in this collection. A set of records which includes death certificates, service orders and funeral arrangements, along with receipts, etc., comprise the first type. A second type seems to pertain to accounts and charges for services. Both types are arranged in chronological order first and then in alphabetical order by first initial of surname.

About this record

This screen shows the complete catalog entry of the title you selected.

The Film/Digital Notes contain a description of the microfilm or microfiche numbers. Some family history centers and libraries maintain collections of previously loaned microfilms or microfiche. A camera icon indicates items that are digitally available online.

Generally, catalog entries are written in the same language as the original record they describe.

Reasons why microfilms may not yet be available digitally on FamilySearch.org include:

  • The microfilm may be scheduled for future scanning.
  • The microfilm may have been scanned, but have a contractual, data privacy, or other restriction preventing access. FamilySearch makes every effort to enable access dependent on decisions of record custodians and applicable laws.
