Henry Brasater Drake was born 1862 in Coles Station, Illinois and lived near Neoga, Cumberland Co., Ill. He was married to Martha Elizabeth Horn born 1862 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Nicholas Horn and his wife. Research covers many Drake lines from the 17th century English immigrants in Virginia to the pioneer settlers of North Carolina and Kentucky to the many Drakes in the author's home state of Illinois. Greenberry Drake of Barren Co., Ky., William Drake of Franklin Co., Va., John and Margaret Weldon Drake of England and Virginia are some of the early American settlers whose lines the author follows in hopes of finding the connection to his own family.
