Daniel Ball was born in 1713 in Middlesex County, Virginia, the son of Edward and Kezia Ball. He married Sarah Hackney (b. 1718), daughter of William and Alice Rhodes Hackney. They had two sons, 1742-1745. Descendants listed lived in Kentucky, North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and elsewhere.
