William Marquis I, his wife Margaret, and children Thomas and Mary immigrated from Ireland to Onequehon Creek in the Shenandoah Valley, Frederick County, Virginia in 1720. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, California and elsewhere.

Includes Gardner, Naprstok, Nichols, Vance, Wilson and related families.
