Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Sickels (and variant spellings) families in America. Some focus is on (but not limited to) immigrant ancestors who may have come from England, Flanders, Italy, the Habsburg Empire, Holland, Normandy, and Scotland. One ancestor was Zacharias Sickels (born ca. 1630) who was a member of the Dutch West India Company, and settled New York ca. 1655. He then moved to New Jersey. Others of the Van Sickle family, came to America between 1623 and 1652. Early progenitors settled in Barbados, New York, and Pennsylvania in the 1600s. In the 1700's, some also settled New Jersey, and the Northwest Territory (included Ohio). During the 1800's, some migrated into Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Virginia. Descendants and relatives also lived in Guam, and in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and elsewhere.
