Contents: Bills of sale for negroes 1801, 1815 (frames 1-5) -- Manumission papers 1794-1843 (frames 6-51) -- List of delinquent free negroes (capitation taxes) 1859 (frames 52-56). Free negroes delinquent for nonpayment of capitation tax -- Indenture of servitude (free negro Bett and others) 1788, 1835, 1864, 1866 (frames 57-69). Not all are negroes -- Register of free negroes in Alexandria County 1858 (frames 70-79) -- Certificates of freedom (registration of free negroes) 1794-1823 (frames 80-124).
