Some bonds are damaged.

Even though a volume is given as containing only administrator bonds, it often includes bonds for executors. The same is true for the executor bond book. Both the administrator and the executor bonds should be checked.

The District Court was replaced in 1808 by the Superior Court of Law. In turn, the Superior Court of Law was replaced in 1831 by the Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery. This last court was sometimes known as the Superior Court of Law and Chancery.

Each bond gives name of administrator or executor, names of sureties, date and amount of bond, name of the estate, etc.
