Notes

Marie O. Echols was born in 1889, probably in Georgia or Texas, the daughter of Lou Hester Hester Echols (1870-1954) and Robert Nathan Echols (1865-1934). She married Daniel Tomlin (1887-1931) in 1907. They had two children, 1915-1916. She and her husband owned and operated drug stores in Texas until 1929 when they moved to Dallas and started a cosmetics company. She retired in 1949. Children and grandchildren probably lived in Texas.

Ancestral lines are through her mother's lineage. Ancestors include: Christopher Branch (1602-1681) of England and Virginia; Capt. Thomas Harris (b. 1587) of Crixie, County Essex, England, and Henrico County, Virginia; William Osborne, Jr. (d. 1793), a captain in the America Revolution, and others.
