Daniel Hankins settled in the Mountain Valley region located along the shared borders of Henry and Pittsylvania Counties, Virginia in 1760. He became the Sheriff of Pittsylvania County in 1790. He died March 3, 1797 in Pittsylvania County. Daniel and his wife, Hannah, had 3 children. Contains a record of their descendants including Adkins, Eanes, Earles, Lawrence, Marlow, Pruitt, Woodall and other related families.
