Hans Peter Wampfler (1701-1749) lived in Hingsingen, Alsace and immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1741. His grandson, John Wampler (1768-1845) married Magdalina Garber (1768-1855). They lived in Maryland and Rockingham County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Missouri, Ohio, and elsewhere.

Includes Glick, Andes, Cline, Driver, Flory, Garber, Roller, and related families.
