Notes

For several years, certificates for stillborn children were not given a number, but the word "skip" was used instead of a number. These certificates are not listed in the index.

Certificates give certificate number, place of death, name of deceased, sex, color or race, marital status, age, occupation, birthplace, names of parents and their birthplaces, date of death, cause of death, date and place of burial, informant's name, name of attending physician, and place and length of residence. Information is not always complete.
