Another English ancestor, John Gore and his wife, Margaret settled in Lancaster County, Virginia in 1653. In the 1600-1700s, Gores immigrated to Australia, Canada, and to Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.
