Genealogy of Vivian Dickison (b. 1913), daughter of John Louis (Ned) Dickison and Nellie Tackett. John Louis Dickison (1891-1970) married Nellie 1912 in Carter Co., Ky., he died in Vermillion Co., Illinois. He was the son of Griffith Arch Dickinson/Dickison and Melvina Kiser. The earliest recorded ancestor, Levi Dickenson (ca. 1816-1852), was born in either Russell or Washington Co., Va. He came to Greenup Co., Ky. in 1834 from Russell Co. He married 1834 in Greenup Co., Lucinda Waugh (1813-1899), daughter of John Waugh of Pennsylvania and Augustine Duduit of Ohio. She was born in Scioto Co., Ohio. The early Kiser ancestor, Charles (Karl) Keyser (d. 1777), came to America in 1751/52 from Württemberg, Germany near Stuttgart. He built the Kaiser homestead near Hawksbill, now Shenandoah Co., Va.
