Microfilm of records located at Pierce Brothers' mortuaries, Los Angeles, California.

Some volumes include surname indexes.

Includes Cunningham and O'Connor, Lincoln Heights, Jones and Hamrock mortuaries or funeral directors.

Funeral records include name, age, birthplace and address of the, deceased, names and birthplaces of parents, date and place of death, name of person or persons ordering services, name of spouse, date and place of funeral and of burial. Also included on some records are descriptions of funeral services and who officiated.

Pierce Bros. & Co. Funeral Directors of Los Angeles have purchased Cunningham & O'Connor, Jones and Hamrock, Lincoln Heights, and other mortuaries in the Los Angeles area. The original records might have the name of the former owners on them but all records have been acquired by Pierce Bros. The numbering system of each mortuary seems to vary in the records and often there is no index available yet.

Each record usually has 2 numbers, one is the funeral record numbering the other is the total record numbering, which will be indexed is not decided upon as yet.
