Jesse Nash Jr. (1836-1908), son of Jesse Nash Sr. and Mary Pike, was born in Clermont Co., Ohio, and died in Union Twp., Howard Co., Ind. He married 1859 in Clinton Co., Ohio, Mary Adaline Baty/Batey "Lina" (1843-1899). She was born in Ohio, a daughter of W. H. and Sarah Batey. They were parents of eight children born in Ohio and Indiana. The earliest recorded ancestor, Richard Nash (ca. 1754-1837), was born at New Castle Co., Delaware, and died in Fayette Co., Indiana. He married 1777 at Richmond, Henrico Co., Va., Jane Barr (1762-1837). He was the son of Richard Nash III and Rebecca Maccay Williams. She was the daughter of John Barr. They were parents of ten children born in Pennsylvania. Descendants live in Indiana and elsewhere.
