"This data on Rodgers, on Roger, and on Rogers, had been compiled from the data on file in the South Carolina State Archives in Columbia, S.C., plus some data sent to me by the clients and some data from Fairfield and Chester Counties, S.C. ... Early in S. C. were immigrants from France by name of Roger and also by name of Rodgers and Rogers from Ireland -- Also immigrants came to S.C. from Pennsylvania, from Virginia and Maryland, and from North Carolina by name of Rodgers, Roger, and Rogers, but these latter families do not show in S.C. immigrant lists.".
