John Seamster (1772-1873), son of John A. Seamster, a soldier in the Revolutionary War, married Sarah LeGrand in 1808 in Halifax County, Virginia. They had five girls and five boys. The family migrated to Georgia in 1810, to Kentucky in 1813, and to Missouri, ca. 1850. Most descendants listed lived in Missouri.
