Ancestors include: John Baker (1745-1816) of Warren County, Georgia; Col. John Lindsay (1750-1808) of Hallifax County, Virginia, and Wilkes County, Georgia; Eppes Brown (1766-1827) of Hancock County, Virginia, and William Rives (b. ca. 1636) of Dorsetshire, England, and Surry County, Virginia.
