Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Sumner families who came mainly from England and Wales. Others came from Africa, Austria, Australia, Germany, Ireland, and New Zealand. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of Joane and Roger Sumner and their son, William (b. 1605), who was born in Bicester, Oxfordshire, England. William later lived in Dorchester, and came to America with his wife, Mary ca. 1635, and settled in Nansemond County, Virginia. Other ancestors also came to America and settled in Massachusetts, South Carolina, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some migrated to Connecticut, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Vermont. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Ontario (Canada), and in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Tennessee, Washington, and elsewhere.
