Contains family sketches, photographs of Bible records, and copies and Vaughn family land records.

Daniel Vaughn (1780-1854) was born in Virginia, the son of Alexander Vaughn (ca. 1742-1797) and Jane Vaughn (ca. 1745-1829). Sarah Staples (1782-1853), was born in Hanover County, Virginia, the daughter of Stephen and Mary Starks Staples. They were married in 1799 in Georgia. They had twelve children, 1800-1835. They died in Twiggs County, Georgia. Children lived in Georgia and Alabama. Their son, William T. Vaughan (1821-1901), married Sarah Sanders (1827-1863) in 1844. They had nine children, 1845-1861.

Includes the family of Sarah Staples Vaughn's parents. Stephen Staples was born in Hanover County, Virginia, ca. 1749. He married Mary Starks in 1778. They had sixteen children, 1779-1801. He served with the Georgia line during the Revolutionary War. He died in Wilkes County, Georgia, in 1805.
