Notes on the Brent family of Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky and Louisiana. Members of the family were celebrated characters in the early history of Maryland and opened up northern Virginia to Settlement. Families migrated to Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, and Louisiana. Descendants listed chiefly follow the male lines. Since the Brent family intermarried so many times with the Carrolls of Maryland, a brief study of those families are included.
