Families of James Jones (1788-1871) born in Virginia, died in Hancock Co., Illinois; John Jones (d. 1813) from England, who married Rebecca Gallaher in Knox Co., Tenn. in 1811; John Jones (1813-1889), son of John Jones from England, who married (1) Matilda Holt; (2) Orpha Bonham Lowe; and Thomas Jones (1811-1887), son of James Jones (1788- 1871), who married Harriet H. Haggard (1813-1880), and who was born in Anderson Co., Tenn. and died in Hancock Co., Ill.
