Robert Coleman came to Virginia and purchased land in 1652 in Charles City County, Virginia. He probably died ca. 1688. Descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, and elsewhere. Also includes family of Joseph Tanner who settled in Henrico County, Virginia before 1662; Essex Bevill who married Amy Butler ca. 1669 in Henrico County, Virginia; George Archer who came to Henrico County in 1636; John and Mary Hasting who lived in Henrico County in 1719; William Hatcher who came to Henrico County ca. 1635.
