Microfilm of originals at the Brown County courthouse in Brownwood, Texas.
The general indexes include civil cases which contain divorces, ex parte for citizenship, removal of disability of minors, etc. Most cases are indexed by the first letter in the title (i.e. "in the matter of" would be indexed under "I" and "The city of" would be under "T" etc., be sure to check all possiblities).
NOTE: The volumes for the District Court civil minutes are titled as Criminal minutes. These books contain both civil and criminal minutes.
NOTE: Under the v. column the abbreviation "D", "DR", or "DI" refers to divorce records started in 1904.
