Pendleton County was in Virginia when these records were made. It became part of West Virginia in 1863.

Many years have two lists since the county was divided into two districts.

Arranged in alphabetical order by the first letter of the surname for each year. Lists give name of person taxed or tithed, type and amount of taxable property, amount of tax, and the county statistics.
