Hendrick and Catherine Mattice and their six children emigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Weiserdoef (now Middleburgh), New York in 1712. Descendants lived throughout the United States. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.

Includes lists of seven 1709 Palatinate groups immigrating to New York, together with various lists of Palatinate residents in N.Y. towns in the 1700s, and lists of those Palatinates who later moved to the Tulpehocken Valley in Pennsylvania.

Includes Becker, Bouck, Schaffer (Shafer), Vroman, Warner and related families.
