"The United Church of Christ first organized with the merger in 1920 of the German Evangelical Church and the Presbyterian Church in Monroeville, Ohio. In 1932, the United Church of Christ merged with the Methodist Episcopal Church in Monroeville and formed the Congregational Community United Church of Christ. Thus this collection contains record books from all of the churches which were part of these two mergers" -- Intro.
