McLauren H. Jones was born in 1826 in Marshal County, Tennessee. Ann Elizabeth Haley was born in 1826 in Lunenburg County, Virginia, the daughter of William N. Haley (d. 1888). They were married in 1847. They had ten children, 1848-1868. She died in 1899 at Senatobia, Mississippi. He died in 1911 at Memphis, Tennessee. Their son, William Presley Jones, was born in 1857 in Marshall County, Tennessee. He married Patty Mitchell, daughter of Columbus Mitchell, at Senatobia, Mississippi. He died in 1908 at Byhalia, Mississippi. His son, William Presley Jones, was born in 1900 at Senatobia, Mississippi. He married Lily Nadine Rogers in 1937 at Richmond, Texas. She was born in 1915 at Winnsboro, Wood County, Texas.
