Microfilm of typescripts, made in 1972-1974, (p. 395), at the Utica Public Library, Utica, New York.
The first volume was compiled by Charles Gordon Pond and the second volume was extracted by Alice O. Dodge and Clara O. Hoerlein, and arranged in alphabetical order and typed by Charles Gordon Pond.
The first volume of this work was compiled "from the marriage and death notices in bound volumes of newspapers which were on file at the Utica Public Library": The Utica Magazine, The Utica Evangelical Magazine, The Evangelical Magazine and The Evangelical Magazine & Gospel Advocate. The second volume "was compiled from marriage notices and death notices as found in 'The Evangelical Magazine & Gospel Advocate'".
"The persons in this work are arranged in alphabetical order of surnames, and some are found in items called appendix. An index to wives and miscellenous persons is included.".
"The Evangelical Magazine & Gospel Advocate was united with the New York Christian Magazine and published in New York City as of 1849 with the same name as it's original title, The Evangelical Magazine and Gospel Advocate".
