William Bennett (1763-1834) was born in Culpepper Co., Virginia. He married Sarah Cletterback in 1786. They moved to Kentucky and were the parents of eleven children. The fourth child of William and Sarah was Nelson Bennett (1792-1862). Descendants of his married into the Trimble and Jones families. Alexander Trimble (b.1800s) was the father of Richard M. Trimble (1841-1909) who was born in Virginia and married Margaret Levina Bennett in Iowa in 1872. They were the parents of ten children. James F. Jones (1829-1918) was born in Cardiff, Wales and married Charlotte Kendrick of Manchester, England in 1871. They came to America shortly there after. Their second son, Moses William Jones (1874-1958) was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Iowa. He married Jessie May Trimble, daughter of Richard M. Trimble, in 1902. They were the parents of four children. Descendants live in Iowa, North Dakota, and other midwestern states.
