Probate order books contain records of actions and proceedings in estate and guardianship causes, and include cause number, dates of court term, filing, proceedings, and court order, names of estate and administrator or executor, or guardianship and guardian, wards, sureties, and attorneys, as well as disposition of cause. Might also include administrator's letters, and inventories. And also in some causes, partitioning of real estate.
Volumes include surname indexes.
