Orra Henderson Moore Gray was born in 1841 in Rockingham County, Virginia, and was the daughter of Algernon S. and Annie (Henderson) Gray. She married in 1871 Thomas Nelson Langhorne of Lynchburg, Virginia. He died in 1889 and she died in 1904.

The introduction contains biographical and genealogical information on the Gray and Langhorne families.
