North Haven Society was established in 1716 as North East Society in New Haven by division of the First Society. Part of New Haven, including this society, was incorporated in 1786 as North Haven. The Congregational Church was organized in 1718.
Contents: v. 1 society meetings 1716-1872. -- v. 2 historical notes, list of church members 1760, admissions 1761-1832, baptisms 1760- 1826, church vote 1764, method of catechising and names of children who have said through the Catechism 1783-1796, marriages 1761-1826, deaths 1761-1832. -- v. 3 (marked "vol. IV") church meetings 1853- 1910, (vital records scattered throughout the volume) treasurer's accounts 1857-1880.
