Notes

George Wilcox married (1) unknown and they were the parents of five children. His first wife died and he married (2) Sarah Vaughan in 1784 in Halifax Co., Virginia. Shortly after their marriage the family moved to Lincoln Co., Kentucky. His son George (1775-1828) married Christina and they were the parents of eight children. His son Peyton (d.1847) married Elizabeth Fulkerson, daughter of Abraham Fulkerson and Sarah Gibson. They were the parents of eleven children. Several generations of descendants are given. Descendants lived and died in Scott Co., VA.

Includes Wood, Barnhart, McIver, Newton, McDaniel, Harbison and other related families.
