Enos Lewis (born approximately 1730), possibly a Welsh immigrant and definitely of Welsh lineage, married Susanah Woodert and lived in Frederick County, Virginia. Joseph Grisell, possibly a German immigrant, married Margaret Talbert, and lived near Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. Most of the Lewis and Grisell descendants were Quakers. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Delaware, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and elsewhere.

Includes Blackledge, Farrington, Heberling, Hiatt, Irey and related families.
