Family section consists of: Bible records, family sketches, pedigree charts and family group sheets, obituaries, newspaper clippings, correspondence, abstracts by family taken from county courthouses and cemeteries, etc.
Locality section consists of: Cemetery transcriptions, church records, local histories, abstracts and compilations of original records of county courthouses, etc.
New River area includes counties in West Virginia, Virginia and Floyd County, Kentucky. Collection is in two sections. Family section is arranged alphabetically by surname. Locality section is arranged with material about the New River area first, then alphabetically by county.
