Many of the lines are descended from Matthew Strickland of Isle of Wight County, Virginia whose will was dated 1699. Vol. 3 includes descendants of Henry Strickling, born 1818 in Georgia who later moved to Alabama.
Includes Abney, Allan, Barnes, Barron, Beck, Braswell, Chasteen, Dennison, Lemmons, Schillings, Sharp, Womack, and many other related families.
