William Jenkins (d. 1720) and his wife, Elizabeth Skelderman, resided in Rappahannock County, Virginia. William apparently died in 1720 leaving behind his widow and nine children. One of the children, Mansfield Jenkins (d. 1755) married a lady named Patience and they had nine children. They moved to North Carolina before 1778. Descendents eventually settled in North Carolina, Kentucky and other states. Jenkins descendents in Kentucky married into the Hunt family which eventually came to Utah and helped settle Huntsville.
