Microfilm of original records at the Nicollet County Historical Society in St. Peter, Minnesota.

The church was first organized in 1856. In 1857 it was reorganized as the First Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church (Första Svenska Evangeliska Lutherska Församlingen). It was also known as the First Swedish Lutheran Church. Later the name was changed to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church and then First Lutheran Church.
